Accredited AIA Go Home Loan adviser
Have an AIA GO Home Loan or an older Sovereign GO Home Loan? You could move to a standard ASB home loan and receive cashback, with less paperwork than a typical refinance.
ASB is already the lender behind your GO Home Loan. For an eligible transfer of your existing lending, you don’t need a full loan application, a solicitor, or a registered valuation.
OneStop Financial Solutions registered mortgage advisers checks your options and handles the switch with ASB. Our service for an eligible product transfer is free to you.
Illustrative only. Cashback amount is set and paid by ASB.
The following benefits apply to eligible transfers that keep your existing borrowing and property security. If you want to borrow more or change your loan structure, we will explain any extra requirements.
An eligible product transfer can avoid the full application and income assessment usually needed to refinance. There may still be transfer documents to sign. We confirm what ASB needs and guide you through it.
For a straightforward eligible switch, you do not need a solicitor to arrange a new mortgage. That removes the usual legal cost of changing lenders.
For an eligible transfer, you do not need to book a registered valuer to visit your property or pay for a valuation report. We check that your loan qualifies for this process.
Your existing mortgage security stays in place for the eligible product transfer. Changes to the property, owners or borrowers need a separate review.
You may receive around 0.9% cashback on your eligible home loan balance when you switch. We confirm ASB’s current offer and the amount available to you before you commit.
| Eligible loan balance | Example cashback at 0.9% |
|---|---|
| $300,000 | $2,700 |
| $500,000 | $4,500 |
| $750,000 | $6,750 |
These examples are in NZ dollars and are illustrations, not quotes. Minimum lending, equity requirements, caps and other offer conditions may apply. ASB advises cashback can change or be withdrawn at any time.
Moving to a standard ASB home loan can bring your mortgage and everyday ASB accounts together in the ASB Mobile Banking app and FastNet Classic.
We explain how you will view your loan, manage repayments and access the features available with your new product. We also check what happens to any redraw access or reducing loan limit you currently use.
AIA GO Home Loans is closed to new customers. Existing borrowers can still manage their loans, including refixing and changing repayments.
If your mortgage began as a Sovereign GO Home Loan, the later AIA branding may have made the relationship with ASB unclear. AIA acquired Sovereign in 2018, but ASB is the lender named for GO Home Loans.
That existing relationship allows eligible borrowers to move to a standard ASB home loan through a simpler product transfer. We can check whether that option is available for your loan and whether it would leave you better off.
Start with your approximate loan balance and when your fixed rate ends, if you know. Let us know whether you want to transfer the existing loan or make other changes.
I confirm your cashback amount and handle everything with ASB, timed around your current fixed terms.
Your loan is now a standard ASB home loan, in your ASB app, and ASB pays your cashback.
Yes. Existing AIA customers can still refix and make repayment changes. Closure to new customers does not mean you need to move immediately. We can compare keeping your current loan with a transfer to ASB.
GO Home Loans was previously offered under the Sovereign brand and later the AIA brand. ASB is the lender behind the product. If your documents still say Sovereign, we can check your loan and explain the transfer options available.
We can complete an eligible transfer of your existing balance without a full new home loan application. Some documents may still need your signature. Extra borrowing or setting up a facility such as ASB Orbit requires a full application. We can also assist you with this.
Tell us what has changed so we can check the right process with ASB. A straightforward product transfer may avoid a full new lending assessment. We cannot confirm that for your loan until we have checked its details and any changes you want to make.
It depends on your loan and the offer available at the time. ASB may consider the amount of lending, your equity and the type of loan. We confirm your eligibility, the cash amount and the repayment conditions before you accept an offer.
An eligible product transfer doesn’t require a solicitor or registered valuation, and we don’t charge to arrange it. However, breaking a fixed term may incur an early repayment adjustment. You may also need to repay a previous cash incentive if you received one. We check these amounts before you decide.
Your fixed-rate expiry is a useful time to review the options. Switching earlier may involve break costs. We compare the timing, available rates and cashback so you can see the benefit after costs. If you have several fixed loan portions, we check each one.
GO Home Loan features do not automatically carry across unchanged. We review any redraw access, reducing borrowing limit and floating balance before recommending an ASB structure. ASB Orbit is a revolving credit facility; ASB does not offer a mortgage offset account. Setting up Orbit requires a full application.
Yes. You can contact OneStop Financial Solutions even if another adviser arranged your AIA or Sovereign home loan. We are registered mortgage advisers NZ FSP702911.
You can ask us to review extra borrowing at the same time. ASB offers their “Better Homes Top Up”, allowing existing customers to access up to $80,000 for eligible improvements and purchases. Lending criteria and terms apply. Learn more about top up loans here.
We check the account and salary-credit requirements attached to your ASB offer. If anything changes, we explain it before you agree to the switch, including what to do with automatic payments and direct debits.
Switching from your AIA Go home loan to ASB involves less paperwork and fewer setup costs because ASB already holds the lending. Another lender may offer different rates, cashback or features. We can compare suitable options from our lender panel, including costs and conditions, so you can choose with confidence.
Timing depends on your loan, the changes requested and ASB’s processing times. Once we have checked the details, we explain the expected steps and keep you updated. If your fixed rate is ending soon, include that date in your enquiry.
We help homeowners across New Zealand review their mortgages by phone, video call and email. You can also meet at our Highland Park office in Auckland.
Our service to arrange an eligible product transfer is free to you. We receive commission from the lender and explain how we are paid. Read our disclosure statement for details about our advice, commissions and any fees for other services.
